This week you’ve got a double shot of artistic fun. On Thursday night, Artwalk holds the last of its Preamble preview parties (which means–ack!–I have a little more than a week to get everything ready for Artwalk itself) at Matthew’s Bar and Grill on Morris Ave. downtown. The previous three Preambles have been a lot of fun, and this one will have a *packed* art auction, with pieces from more than 30 artists. Plus it’s your last chance to bid for the pieces in the progressive auction, including my “One Magic City” piece.

And on Friday night, Naked Art opens “Elvis Loves You,” a show featuring 12 artists who created pieces inspired by Mr. Black Velvet himself. This show, which comes around every couple of years, is enormously popular, so be sure to stop by. I’ve got some new wall pieces and functional art objects in this one, plus I’m debuting some new non-Elvis prints in other parts of the gallery, including my long-awaited, often-requested depiction of the Garage Cafe.

Hopefully I’ll see you at both events!
