Historic Site July 1, 2008

The Birmingham-Jefferson History Museum has launched its new Web site. There’s not much on it yet, but it offers a tantalizing preview–in a few photos and descriptions of the collections–of what’s to come when the museum opens a physical location downtown in the (hopefully) near future.

Personally, I can’t wait to get a look at the vintage restaurant menus, the bottles of long-gone Birmingham soft drinks, and the tons of old photos they have. But until then, the site is a way to follow–and get involved in–the development of the museum, which will be quite a cool addition to the city.
