All Aboard April 1, 2008

This afternoon on al.com, the Birmingham News reported that visible work is finally, FINALLY beginning on the Railroad Reservation Park (and yes, I will continue to use the older full name–it’s simply better). Work has been under way on the park for a little while, actually, but it was more deconstruction work–tearing down buildings on the site. Now, according to the online blurb, workers are removing “century-old cobblestones” to prepare for construction, which will start in June.

The best part of this news? They’re going to save the cobblestones/brick to use in the park. That’s what I like to hear!
