I’m pleased to report that my art pieces for the Kitschmas show at Naked Art are finished! And I think you’re going to like them. You’ll discover two new prints–a music-themed neon sign from Nashville and the legendary Boll Weevil Monument of Enterprise, Ala.–as well as some familiar favorites, plus a cool new clock, ornaments, one-of-a-kind holiday cards, the popular Magic City card sets, and the scratch pads (made from messed-up prints and random pieces of paper from around my house) that were so popular during my January show. Much of this will be available to buy online soon, but you shouldn’t miss the Kitschmas opening next Friday night.

Speaking of weekends, *this* weekend is Muse of Fire, one of those truly unique Birmingham events. In a nutshell, you’re guided around Sloss Furnaces to see scenes from Shakespeare plays–often reinterpreted using–oh, futuristic-looking motorcycles or modern military uniforms or props made by Sloss Metal Arts. It’s very cool, and this sampler is a warm-up for a full-length Shakespeare play set at Sloss in the spring. (Three cheers for alliteration!) Click the link for info on tickets and times.
