I get tons of great suggestions for local landmarks to transform into prints, and for the past year or two, Rickwood Field has been the most requested/suggested subject. Now I’m pleased to say that I have made a Rickwood print, and it is hanging at Naked Art Gallery right now.

Come check it out (along with a fun new polar bear print–yes, a polar bear sighted in Birmingham) this Friday night at the opening of Naked Art’s new show, “Tone Deaf: Music for the Eyes.” I’m really looking forward to this show because it features Kreg Yingst, a great printmaker–someone I consider a “real” printmaker (since he carves on the unforgiving, potentially painful medium of linoleum). And he creates amazing, detailed, evocative work. Don’t miss that one–or the other stuff going on during Forest Park’s open house that night.

And Saturday, check out the downtown loft tour to support the Literacy Council.
