ReadyMade Visits B’ham April 1, 2007

Birmingham has found itself in the pages of ReadyMade magazine again–this time in the April/May issue. Turn to page 59, and you’ll find B’ham in the middle of an Atlanta-to-Montgomery road trip. Sloss, Vulcan, the Museum of Art’s folk art exhibit, and–strangely–Fat Sam’s Sub Shop near UAB all get mentioned.

I don’t know if they got inspired by my letter to the editor last year about B’ham as a ReadyMade-ready city–but I’m glad we’re getting more good publicity. Now do you think our potential flood of visiting foodies (inspired by the recent New York Times article on B’ham restaurants) will be followed by a flood of DIY hipsters?
